Tori's Parisian Bridal Shower

Tori and her fiancé, Mathieu, met while they were both living and working in Cairo, Egypt. Tori is from the U.S. and Mathieu is from France, and this travel-loving couple is now planning a New Year's Eve destination wedding

in North Carolina from their current location in Cambodia. Since Tori had limited room in her suitcase for the typical shower and wedding gifts, we planned a lingerie bridal shower during her recent visit to the U.S.

The Parisian theme was a perfect fit! Working with a color palette of soft pinks, whites and light grey, the shower had a lovely, feminine feel.

Tori's family had an extensive collection of antique pink glass plates and platters. Milk glass vases and sweet little roses decorated the table. Sparkling pink lemonade and homemade lavender lemonade made for refreshing, and pretty, beverages for a lunch-time shower.

We created a photo backdrop with mixed fake flowers - so easy and simple, and so pretty! As each guest arrived, they took a picture with Tori with a Fuji Instax Camera. Using decorative tape and pens, each guest attached their photo and added words of wisdom, a special wish for the new couple, or a shared memory in a guestbook, which became a treasured keepsake for the bride-to-be.

For favors, each guest selected a luggage tag, which were displayed in a cute vintage suitcase with a sign that said, "Thank you for joining us! Please take a luggage tag for your future travels. Bon Voyage!"
