Kelsie and Doug's baby shower was so lovely! They wanted to include couples, so we did a Sunday brunch at their new home and their large front porch turned out to be the perfect location to celebrate their coming baby. We decided on a gender-neutral, woodland theme, which was really fun to style.
We used cute birch straws and attached "oh baby" banner stickers around them. Half-pint sized Ball jars were perfect for the make-your-own mimosa bar and guests were invited to keep their jars as a favor. The jars were decorated with scalloped kraft paper and cute hedgehog and owl stickers.
Since it was a brunch party, we decided to take an interesting twist on brunch food with omelet bites and French toast skewers. They were a big hit! The food tables were decorated with tree cookies and paper leaves to add to the woodsy feel.
We decorated the porch with lots of clear glass apothecary jars filled with fresh flowers and even hung small wooden wreaths with flowers tucked in them.
A "wishing tree" with paper leaves was displayed for guests to write well-wishes for the baby. The messages from Kelsie and Doug's friends and family will make a great keepsake.
